Liang Wenbo and Li Hang have been banned from snooker for life after being found guilty of serial match-fixing.
Eight other Chinese players have also been handed lengthy suspensions in the biggest corruption scandal to ever hit the sport.
The biggest names punished are 2021 Masters champion Yan Bingtao, who will be off the tour until December 2027 following his five-year ban, and 2021 UK Championship winner Zhao Xintong, who cannot play until September 2024.
Lu Ning (five years and four months), Zhao Jianbo (two years and four months), Chang Bingyu (two years), Bai Langning (two years and eight months), Chen Zifan (five years) and Zhang Jiankang (two years and 11 months) are the other players suspended.

100% correct to throw them out of the sport. No doubt they can still peddle their trade in China. A disgrace to their fellow Chinese people. Let's hope that's the lot. But....

Strange how they can root out all of these bad eggs in this sport, but we are supposed to believe that nothing dodgy is going on in racing even though there are so many more opportunities for wrong doing.

Don’t really follow snooker although I did use to enjoy pot black ,what is a life ban ? As I was listening to the news last week and some weirdo who had been handed in by his mother ( huge respect for that lady)for turning into a terrorist and planning to kill policemen was also given a life sentence and was told by the judge he must serve at least 6 years.
