If I back 1000 horses and lay them before the off at 1.02, I will have a 4% strike rate with the ones that get matched. Does that mean in running backers are ultra mugs? Or that I'm so unlucky year after year that I'm forced to green up every runner?

It's this curse that follows you around Gaze , until you rid of these demons your gambling life will be full of disappointments.
I've never known a losing gambler so unlucky , even with normal luck you'd be a millionaire for sure. Attend church every Sunday and buy yourself a black cat would be a start. |

I've had two 1.01 losers and one 1.03 just this week

If only 1 in 50 lost at 1.02, I wouldn't bother greening up, but they always keep losing much more than that.
