Got 8s with bet563. Already regretting it. Greedy

^^ meaning if it wins the account will be restricted.

Earned a timeform rating of 125p from timeform [10.5f] -the same mark as Auguste rodin earned for his 12f performance.

French sectional timing shows Ace Impact ran the last 1000 metres in 58.09s. When Sottsass set the previous course record in this race on 2019, he did the same stretch in 58.52s.
Convert that to a time for 5 furlongs and it would be about 58.4s, a pretty good time for a 5F race, let alone the last 5F of a 10F race. |

Interesting that Anorak. It was visually impressive.
Could go fav on the machine. 5.5 into 4.5. |

The 3rd caught my eye in that race yesterday - Was given a bit of a stinker. Be very interested in that one for the ARC IMO

Well feck me, that antepost bet lasted 2 days out of a month to wait.
The last a/p bet i placed was Real World for last years eclipse and it was w/d only 1 HOUR later! No more bets, no more |

There was an entry stage with an additional fee to be paid this morning to stay in the race. Presumably he'll go for the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp over 12F on Bastille Day, Jul 14th.

Can't have been that much to pay to keep in race for Aga Khan.
Unless he hasn't come out of race well. The ground in Chantilly was good-firm imo and he might not get that sort of ground in France again. Sour grapes on my part. |

Alan, reading JCM comments i assume he's out of the Eclipse, so you could be spot on as there isn't another G1 over 10f/12f in France for him until the Arc. There are lower status group races of course, including the Prix Niel in September, or he could travel across the channel/Irish sea. Has to be the best 3 year old colt around at the moment. |

Sorry, yes been scratched today Andrew.

AI beat Big Rock 3 lengths over 10F last time.
Big Rock ran a decent race over a mile today, dropping back in distance. |

Interesting match up tomorrow 2.50 Deauville.
Ace Impact v Victoria Road [APob/won at the Breeders cup last year] Group 2 worth €250K to the winner. |
|
By:
Good prize money. AOB is sending over Victoria Road (beat Blue Rose Cen last season) for his 1st outing of the season. I think Ace Impact will need to win convincingly to cement his position as head of the market.

Decent enough Arc workout today.
Justifies favourite status. |
|
By:
I'm a fan and have had a few £ on him for the Arc but he may have to refine his "held up last, come 5 wide" style of running if he is to win at Longchamp
|
|

He's no longer going to the Prix Niel. It's either straight to Longchamp or Irish Champion Stakes for prestige and stallion fee. The horse was fresh, and ran a bit free at the outset hence the restrained and taken way back from his pacesetter.
I can see Ace Impact and Feed The Flame coming from way back to fight out the finish; a repeat of Dancing Brave and Bering perhaps. |

By:
Snake Oil salesmen putting up Hukum as a possible winner of the Arc. Clear second fav the noo.
If it finishes in front of Ace impact I'll never post 'ere again. |
|
By:
^^ Strong stuff. How far Ace Impact? Infront or behind?

Yeehah!
