Best part of the show today, perfected his spiel, almost like an after dinner speech.
I don't know if he was making it up or exaggerating for effect, however seemed astonishing for me that a highly successful sports professional would quit at a time of their choosing, apparently with a huge mortgage and tax bill outstanding. In a career that could be ended at any time overnight, you'd have thought the approach would be the opposite one, ie ensuring financial security as a priority. |
