On a 7 race card yet the handicap hurdle at Wexford attracted 33 runners which lead to the race been split, meanwhile the bha are busy making sure that racecourses that attract good crowds on summer Saturdays no longer get them leading to the loss of future and long term racegoers.

Good to firm at Warwick and good to yielding Wexford. BHA are also removing 300 jump races next year so might help situations like this.

That’s the case today the pies but this situation has been going on a long time regardless of the ground conditions.

On Sunday we had 3 national hunt fixtures and no flat why did the bha allow that ?

These Sunday only jump meetings in the flat seasons have been going on for a few years now, jimnast.  All some people say that it is to give the stable staff a day off which of course is ridiculous in this day and age.

That’s correct so the bha have had plenty of time to sort this farce out.

Great card from a betting perspective. Looking forward to it.

During the Summer, why not just have jumps fixtures staged at courses who don't/can't race during the Winter. So Newton Abbot, Cartmel, Perth, Worcester, Stratford? And maybe a couple of others who lost a certain percentage of their fixtures during the previous Jumps? Wouldn't this make more sense?

Why do we need 3 jump meetings today, ridiculous

Completely agree hell. Should Warwick really be staging a card today? A few of the runners may have been entered at Abbot if it wasn't.

Worst of it is that tonight all jumps again and no flat.

To be fair the Cartmel card has been well supported. But there's no reason that Warwick should be on tonight....unless they want to switch it back to the much missed (by me) flat course.

Good card at Cartmel tonight, course will be packed as usual.

Another good card at Stratford Friday, John Corbett cup night.

Perth always well attended too. (well worth a visit if you have never been)

It can work, with a bit of thought, as jimnast implies.

Given the state/Level of this afternoon's Flat Cards ...

'6 of One - half a dozen of the other' - from an interest point of view.

Incredible wasnot but the bha will just kick on and ruin small racecourses next year to keep the online bookmakers and itv happy.

Combination of Market Rasen and Sean 'I get beat on an unusually high amount of odds on shots' Bowen would have, I hope, served a note of caution to most.
