how much is a Galileo stud fee? £500k ish?

Then the cost of Annie Power?

Then the raising costs to a 4 year old and now Willie Mullins training fees.

Would have to pretty special to pay these kind of sums of money back.

The owners are not exactly waiting for their next cost of living handout.

Cost would never have been a consideration

The Galileo Stud Fee - is shown as - 'Private'

He is not even advertised on the Coolmore Stud website ...

They keep him for themselves.

Surely he's not listed because he's deceased.

It will be intersting whether he displays the qualities of his father, a bit of a plodder, or if his mother - just all class!

Won easily enough, but had to work for it.

Not sure what he beat though.

I presume has had a few niggles or a been a bit backward at home to make the debut end of May as a 4 year old.

Didn't scream out Supreme hurdle winner next year, but a long way from now to then.

Thought he was very professional, but shaped more like a three miler than a two miler. I would have thought they would put him away now, but perhaps quicker ground might suit him better?
By:

When: 29 May 23 20:11
why run him now though? he obviously is not in the premier barn in Mullins... (if there is such a thing)
By:

When: 29 May 23 20:41
Why not give him the experience of a race now rather than waiting to run unraced in the autumn/winter on ground that he might not appreciate so much?
By:

When: 29 May 23 20:47
could they not run him a point to point to get that effect?
Or a schooling bumper,,

I think Susan Ricci owns Annie,Aidan borrowed Annie who fell in love with Galileo .Annie and Galileo had an affair Son named Mystical was born.Mysticals four Legs where priced at a million pound per leg.Willie bought a leg,Aidan bought a leg,JP bought leg,and Susan and Rich own the 4th leg.

The other question is why a bumper? Don't forget Annie Power's is a Flat staying pedigree. Why jumps and not Cup races on the level?

Anyway, they've made their choice. How long before Mystical Power is antepost favourite for both the Champion Bumper and Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham 2024? Will Patrick be begging for a National Hunt Chase entry?

Much more impressive tonight. Won easily despite not having anything like the best trip. Jumping wasn't terrible, but they would want to sharpen that up a bit.
