Hoss down at the flight in the straight.
Normally field waved around the flight to avoid the stricken hoss but race was stopped in its tracks.

How hard is it to settle a void race?!

"Never seen that before..."

I know what ya mean. Aftertiming a void race 'winner' is a new nadir Laugh

Another jockey stopped riding at the 1/2 furlong pole.

Sure listen went wrong on the first circuit and was pulled up on the run in 200 yardd short of the WP, After he dismounted from the horse James Best lost control of the it briefly and  the horse tried to re-enter the paddock 100 yards from the winning post. when the ground staff started to erect screens round the horse which completely blocked the run in, due to the fact that the width of the course in the last furlong is restricted to half it's full width. Consequently no alternative but to abandon the race. QUESTIONS  should be asked why the course was so narrow on the run in. It's not rocket science  to work out that if a horse breaks down here, the runners will have no where to go.While the horse did walk into the horse ambulance he looked v lame. Hope he survives but it didnt look likely

I backed D'Jango in that race. Was that the horse that 'won'?
Report Gaze733 May 27, 2023 5:34 AM BST

It's simple to grasp.
The race was 'void' - jockeys were pulling their mounts up.

In essence, there was no 'winner' and there were no losers.

capiche?

Ken seems a nice bloke but offers little in the way of content and seems to be there for aesthetics only.
