Friday is often a very interesting day, particularly when there are listed races at 2 meetings. Top trainers bringing out nice juveniles and novices like Barnwell Boy but then you get a £15000 maiden at Haydock won by a 40/1 shot.

Harzand as a 2yo sire would have tempted me to lay 100 if that was my thing but it isn't. It might be a year before he sires another one.

They have only had 6f races for a week or two. Strange conditions.  class D but 15k. Expected the unexpected. Horses are laid out for such races.

Now we have a 7 furlong maiden for 2yo fillies! Some nice types but are they ready for a race?
