I can see these 2yo races going the way of bumpers in recent years where the 'top stables' are happy to see their runners turned over by rivals who are actually being sent out to win first time. Bookmakers being the only winners.

His pedigree isn't short of stamina and he's not obviously an early season 2YO on breeding, but the market said otherwise.

Would someone with Proform or Raceform be kind enough to tell me the record of Frankel's 2YOs in May on good to firm?

He looked green off the bridle and doubt the steady pace would have helped given he's going to want further, so all things considered, a satisfactory debut imo.

I'd be more disappointed with the 4th, Khamsin, by an American sire I'd not heard of, he cost a packet at the breeze ups last month, but could only plug on for 4th after being slowly away.

Already noted that the horse would very likely want further in the opening post, but that said he was hardly rattling home under gentle pushing. He had jumped well enough for Buick to have set a stronger pace had he so wished. 

I don't know the answer to the question, but my guess would be a relatively small sample with a negative result.

All in all not a lot in the horse's favour.
