She was seemingly quite annoyed about Dubai Instinct on air. I feel like that was a different case to the Godolphin horse, which was most likely an unfortunate coincidence.
Dubai Instinct was a massive drifter. A social runner? A strange one that it was brought back in such a competitive race, on quick going, and seemingly given no chance by the yard when it was apparently hard to train. It would be quite an expensive undertaking to do all these pre-emptive checks, with no evidence that they would prevent or reduce catastrophic outcomes on the racecourse. And what happens to the ones that fail and can't race again. |
