I've always thought he trained similarly to MJ. Obviously the last couple of years he's had a run of good horses but I think without them he looks very in and out.

Definitely not a Trainer you can rely on like Gosden or Haggis, this guy will let you down more often than not imho.

And yes he did put me out the Placepot in the first.

Well every 2yo seems to have a red hood, their horses rarely enter the preparade ring any more and their horses don't seem relaxed before racing.

This season you should be using the facts to help your betting,not a scatter gun approach like MJ and his horses don't run 20 times a season for a win.A significant factor also the amount of older horses being raced and probably a good few will win if continuing to run?

I think Appleby is unfortunately saddled with the anti-Sheikh image eg kidnapping his own daughters and threatening/coercive  behaviour of Princess Haya. Also throwing money for fame eg Snaafi Dancer, Arazi to name two.

Doesn't get the credit he deserves? How many times did we hear that before the race? He has won those Group 1's primarly because the division has been ordinary. He ran to the Lockinge form and it wasn't good enough.
