Would possiblY have won, cost the punters a fair bit there!
Report jackdaw May 17, 2023 4:09 PM BST
And that's after the awful ride last week.
Report FBS May 17, 2023 4:09 PM BST
Would have won I reckon, cost the punters who backed the horse!
Ban for certain!
Report Kriskin May 17, 2023 4:14 PM BST
Do these people not walk the track or not take the environment in when riding?
Report FBS May 17, 2023 4:14 PM BST
1/2 furlong post was obviously the finishing post for Joe!!!
Report Trident May 17, 2023 4:19 PM BST
Surprised
Report SlippyBlue May 17, 2023 4:22 PM BST
I backed it and I couldn't be certain if he'd have won if fully pushed out to the line but it would have been nice to have found out for sure.Sad

Onlooker should be along soon to castigate the lad for his mistake, cancel that, Joe ain't Irish ...

Last four rides, 3/1 11/10 15/8    13/8 got them all beat, not a particularly bright lad either.
Report hulk23 May 17, 2023 8:12 PM BST
Anderson stated his mount became lairy, and on realising there was still half a furlong to go, allowed it to come back under him.

2nd    0.5    Trolley Boy    5    12-0        117    Mulholland, N P    Anderson, Joe (5)    11/10 (Fav)
held up tracking leaders, closer before 2 out, hung left and went 2nd at the last, ridden to lead run-in, rider mistook winning post and eased at the half furlong marker, soon headed, not recover

The lad is a 5lb claimer, only learning his trade, will obviously make mistakes.
Report HappyHibby May 18, 2023 7:46 AM BST
oe Anderson the rider of TROLLEY BOY, placed second beaten by half a length, appeared to mistake the ½ furlong marker for the winning post. After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Anderson was suspended for 10 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished first.

nothing here regarding what Anderson said in the stewards room so hopefully he just held his hands up and accepted his mistake...

i wonder what 'our wonderful Rachel' made of that ?
