Not exactly dismissed in Timeform's Horses to follow - my wife very kindly informs me that she had a little wager on the horse when out shopping this morning. The book is dog-eared already.

4/1 for the Oaks, according to the Post. Seems a bit short this far out but that's standard practice for bookies these days.

I took some 5/1 which I actually think is very generous. 4/1 still is too imho. We will find out in just over a fortnights time.

Very impressive in the Musidora today but 18/1 SP suggests the Gosdens did not rate her an Oaks filly this morning, and it's not like the barn has never trained a classic winner before.

That is true. She couldn't have been any more impressive really though and I think the price is largely due to an over inflated opinion in the market of savethelastdance's win in desperate ground. I would say 4/1 is still a very nice price indeed.

i put a line thru the fred darling run on bad ground and the marked step up in trip and her breeding made her interesting !

i dont rely much on  times but what was interesting was that the maiden she won at donny last year was faster than the the 2nd division that sea of short headed infinite cosmos . roses

If the going is good at Epsom, 4/1 is about right but if it is soft she is a 50/1 outsider.

she won on soft on debut sage so prob handles it ...50/1 on heavy i would say .

Most horses that win a Group race could win on anything in a maiden but I take your point.

Have to remember the Paul Smith interview after the Savethelastdance win " Will definitely be far better suited on decent ground " so might not be advisable to label her a mudlark just because she won a toffee race on a crap racecourse.

She certainly looked very impressive but comparing her time with others on the day is a dampener.

She's running in the Grand Prix de Paris at 19:52 this evening. She's 11/10. Since when was this race run in the evening? I've always thought it's run on a sunday afternoon.

I've mistaken it for the French Derby. I do not know why, possibly old age.

oaks winner with jockey upgrade, on face value odds against looks decent
however ground a neg & trip on this ground another ?

The winner was thrashed by Ace Impact in the French Derby; 2nd was thrashed by Blue Rose Cen in the Prix de Diane. I do not think Soul Sister might have won even with a better passage.

beaten on merit in unsuitable conditions imo

The 2nd is a colt so certainly did not run in the Diane. (That's a fillies race by the way)

Soul Sister has probably run to form today.

Adelaide River ties the form in with the Epsom Derby winner.

Still looks below what Ace Impact has achieved so far.

Sorry 'brandyontherocks'. I mistook Adelaide for Never Ending Story - another AOB. Old age (again).
