I know a few of yew, well many..... are skint and live on estates and have minimal income.

if your kids are giving the fizzy drinks a hammering tighten the lids with nutcrackers thatll not only stop them drinking it so fast and saving you money the effort they put into loosening the lids will develop their muscles making them usefull for heavy lifting jobs around the house and garden also saving you money on hiring costly labourers in the future !

peeling potatoes with a knife or potato peeler causes lots of waste ......use extra fine sand paper and gently rub the peel off ......minimal waste !
