Took them 10 minutes to an call an obvious stewards and 5 minutes to dismiss it. This makes me think they had no intention to change the result but realised the outrage if they didn't call one. This on the back of the R Balckmore debacle does not paint the Irish stewards in a good light at all

that was a mid air jumping incident.
Not much the jockey can do to correct after the jump has started I have to defend the stewards here |

personally i'm not saying it was jockey error from Townsend...
but his horse wiped out the Elliot horse and sent it nearly sideways... if that doesn't cost the Elliot horse a nose then i've been wasting my time watching horse racing for well over 40 years. |
