What amazes me about this sort of lark is that it goes on year in, year out and never once does any of the gob****s in the Racing Post columns kick it around as an issue. I did see one of them once say: 'if punters' trust in racing is eroded then the game's finished.' But it's not just about trust, it's about inclination: more and more I look at races and think: do I want any part of this farce?

Journo,s and the racing media are all on the gravy train so will never call out the corruption in the sport. Punters are the only ones getting ripped off day in day out, no wonder turnover on horse racing is massively down in real terms.
