What amazes me about this sort of lark is that it goes on year in, year out and never once does any of the gob****s in the Racing Post columns kick it around as an issue. I did see one of them once say: 'if punters' trust in racing is eroded then the game's finished.' But it's not just about trust, it's about inclination: more and more I look at races and think: do I want any part of this farce?
