Any other thoughts Koi, I only really bet on the aw but have to go to Cheltenham to collect some stuff and it seems rude not to visit the races. Last time there was about 50 years ago, I live at the other side of the country. No idea on Hunters so any more views on the card would be appreciated. I leave at midday so no rush!!!

I also do like these meetings, they used to hold them at Huntingdon as well and it was so enjoyable watching the connections in the winners enclosure showing their excitement at their charge winning. Prize money was only about a grand if I remember correctly but that didn't seem to matter.

17.25 I've seen Camdonian win at Askam Bryan (tight track on a slight slope) and Hornby Castle ( stiff climb after bend past winning post with a  downhill section behind the hill with a stiff finish) .A couple of bookies are going four places and I'll be poorer if it doesn't finish in the first four.
19.45 The Whistle Blower beat the 4/9 shot Black Op at Hornby Castle with a front running display. Don't know if it will stay 4 miles but with a few bookmakers offering 4 places, there are worse 22/1 shots.
Good luck all.

United Hunts used to have one at Folkestone in years gone by

This meeting has a reputation year on year for plenty being beaten at low odds in running: big night for the amateurs, too much adrenalin, go too fast or kick for home too early, and come to a standstill up the hill.

I wondered why that Folkestone hunters evening was not transferred to Plumpton but then I don't recall ever seeing a hunter chase staged at Plumpton.

There are, or at least were, two good Hunter Chases at Plumpton.  The "Flyaway" and the "Clapper. They may be called summat different now.

Be some long faces if Camdonian gets beat in the next, a plan long in the making.
