So we have a trainer, once banned for a year, for passing on inside information. Talking up  his guineas horses to a ridiculous extent on the RP front page. It stinks of a trainer being "encouraged" to talk up his horses in an attempt to stimulate interest in a stagnant Guineas market for the bookmakers. But who is encouraging him? His three horses have no chance on the book, don't fit any of the states for the last 10 years and are not rated high enough to win a guineas in the last 2O years. His best chance won the worst Craven Stakes for years, and the Craven stakes hasn't produced the winner for over 10 years.
I would be very surprised if any of his horses made the first 4. This kind of reporting leading up to the guineas  leaves a bad taste for me. To many bookmakers have infiltrated stable yards or have sponsorship deals with stables which is a conflict of interest, which would never be allowed in any other industry (politics apart!).
