Sad to say the postman brought me 3 letters today of 3 punters who have had  the dreaded proof of funds request forms.
very very worrying times for the shops.

Ronnie.

That sounds a worrying trend indeed Ronnie,I haven't been in a shop for well over a decade.Always assumed that a punters id would be anon in a shop so assume the staff have to get their details from them, what reason do you have to give for asking?

what was in the covering letter? Did it say "please give these letters to punter A (about 5'10", gingerly hair, usually wears a dark blue parka in all weather) , punter B (always has a can of coke and shouts at the screen when a short price fav loses) and punter C (small, ratlike appearance, hogs the Racing Post from 10.00am) . If it's Fred Smith , Brian Jones and Steve Punter, how did Head office know their names?

Bloke in my local Baldies was issued with similar request.
Gave them bank statements galore, proof of savings, properties etc.........the bloke's a millionaire.
Head office still refusing to accept any bets from him.Confused

The white paper gives the shops a clean bill of health regarding sports betting doesn’t it?

It’s an attack on online gambling, so any restrictions in a shop are the behest of the firm, isn’t that correct?

So monitored customers in the shops now have to play ball or if they don't comply Ronnie then you won't take anymore OTC bets from them?

What if they stick a monkey in SSBT's or the fobs, is that alright then?
