Undisputed scum.

A course ruined long ago by the vile, greedy, management. Water is also highest priced there than any other venue ( some offer it free) - And we never did get to find out the exact nature of the ' personal projects'  that the  dismissed Richard Thomas used money out of the course piggy bank for.

Chester will need every penny they can get if the ludicrous ideas the bha have come to fruition.

How much for the fast track bar service , burger service  and toilet entry?

Same with a few discounted airlines (aka Ryanair and Easyjet) charging for priority or speedy boarding; there's often 30 or 40 passengers in the queue, rendering the whole thing a complete waste of money for those at the rear.

even by chester's standards this is the lowest of the low in fleecing . its almost admitting the place is too crowded . why don't they add ' and don't forget once inside you can't actually see any racing !'....i would suggest people vote on this with their feet . either 1) spend the tenner in the architect pub opposite and nip out to the walls for a decent view or b) save your money and go to the dante at york the week after .

This always makes me laugh, why would anyone want to be first on a plane?

It cant take off until everyone is on.

If anything I want to be on last.

... Farcical, Living in Chester I have seen plenty of punters being carried towards the course after

having a skinfull in the Town, most wouldnt know the difference from walking in a "Priority Lane "

or the " Fast Lane " on the M6.

After reading this I wont be going to Chester. They are taking the p**s and will soon have no customers.

Sometimes if you are last on , someone with more bagggage than they should have  has pinched "your" overhead luggage space. That's the only reason I can think of.

never understood speedy boarding. so you can spend an extra half hour in discomfort?

im always last one on. makes me laff when i see people queueing up for an hour to get on, 20 yards away from where im enjoying a glass of vino.
Report Andrew.in.Sweden April 19, 2023 1:18 PM BST
Agree with many of the aircraft speedy boarding comments, what i can never understand is passengers actually paying for it
Report longbridge April 19, 2023 1:29 PM BST
The only time I have done the speedy boarding thing was with a budget airline which did not have seat reservations, so the last-ons were scurrying to find the worst seats on the plane and finding the overhead lockers already full.

I do not know if that is still a thing - it was a few years ago.

The whole set-up at Chester is a total pi$$ take.

Longbridge

I've flown with Easyjet and Ryanair often, albeit not so much the latter since i started work in Germany. These days when you book a flight with them, you can pre-select where you want to sit (at cost) and at the same time pay for priority boarding, added baggage, insurance etc etc. If you prefer not to decide a seat number, one will be provided for you when you check in, generally at the rear of the cabin, but not always.

I never reserve or pay for seats unless it's KLM or Lufthansa, but i have a frequent flyer cards with them, so it's free

Sitting down in the plane is better than standing in a the queue to get on.

Also different carry on baggage allowance, which is the main reason to book PB if you're flying with Ryanair.
Report Dr Crippen April 19, 2023 3:10 PM BST
If you've put your cases in the hold, then you might as well sit down and be last.
