Race is a loss leader though Ronnie.
Aim is essentially to draw in new blood especially the younger element.

Must be a dawdle not having to settle bets manually. Back in the day I enjoyed the build-up but having to plough through piles of tickets was a headache.
The one day where you settled up and headed straight to the boozer for a jar of ale.

I believe you are a good person that is evident.

BUT

Is there anything worse in the gambling industry WHEN CORP SHOP STAFF speak like the shops funds are their own?

Sorry if I have overstepped the mark.

Infact I find it all irrel when nobody sharp can get a bean on.

only trying to tell people on here how the shop did today as some would like to know how the shops did only trying to help.

leif .I had the headache before the race. Got 1 of staff roaming shop asking punters if they had 1 horse 1 slip they would get paid quicker. Had a few settling boxes marked up with names and filed them. Only 4 places them days so 30 odd boxes where automatic losers.

I was in Spoils this morning and met a guy I hadn't seen in ages so was there talking for half an hour. In that half hour only two other people came in. Ten years ago the same shop would have been packed.

Rico could do with a day off but the shop will be open as normal to give the punters as usual a first class service as  have said before there is still some cracking shops about i expect a few remarks about not being able to get a quid on. here is one for Rico next time you speak  to a guy from spenny who you used to play with at Thornaby  ask him is there any GOOD  corals shops left.

hope you are well.

Can not believe the first 5 in the betting have finished 1 3 4 5 and the firms have done ok.think we should be all looking at buying a few shops.

Picture this scenario ronnie. A punter walks into your shop with a 500EW win on a horse at 25s. ''Sorry lad, try a n other''..

You wouldn't even rang head office.

In the days when I used bookmakers Grand National day was painful with the once a year people continually asking you to write out their bet for them in the shops.

I was in a Koral shop in Crawley on Thursday, they had a special GN coupon, you simply ticked what you wanted and received a print out with all details including what the potential return was.

Not meaning to be pedantic Ronnie but The Big Dog in 5th was not in 1st 5 in betting, Aint that a shame and Delta Work were both shorter than that at SP.

An owner of good time Johnny went into the on course hills betting shop yesterday and asked for £1500 each way his horse at 13/2 he got nothing.

Yet the bha are going to end up closing racecourses and losing race goers to help these bookmakers increase turn over.

Morning Jimnast, not sure he would have beat the winner, but looked very unlucky in running when ITV showed an overhead view, finishing with a bit left in the tank it looked.

Good afternoon Glasgow

Definitely had some left in the tank when passing the line could well end up a contender for the stayers hurdle which is very open judging by this seasons mob.

Went into Betfred for football coupon bets yesterday. No guarantee on prices at Aintree, paid first five (1/5 odds). Disappointed. I had a load of bets to put on for different people but didn't put them on in my Fred shop.
