Spoke with him before racing at Yarmouth,by phone. He has been in hospital and is very very poorly.Ed Thompson was shocked and said he had expected him to be working at the track todayIt seems he just wants to be left alone in his recovery and he sounded very withdrawn if that makes sense, just not the chirpy chappy he was.
I asked if there was anything I could do to help but his exact words were "Nobody can help" so it seems obvious that it is not trivial and he wants to cope with it in his own way.I said many were asking after him and that I would post here to let you all know, hopefully he may look in.
Sure many of you will join me in wishing him all the very best.
Ed Thompson was on the rails today and on his board at the top were the words "Always Respectful",told me he has known Paul for over 25 years and it was Ed who made the phone call just to clarify for rico.
Found out via Ed's clerk why Paul used the Weaslewise pseudonym on here years ago,had forgotten that one tbh.
