Racing UK just showed the 1973 race in full, still heartbreaking to see Crisp conceding 23lb getting caught close home by Rummy. Crisp must have put up the finest performance in a National at the weights and Richard Pitman give it a great ride with the jsu the mistake with the whip after last before the elbow sadly costing the great horse the race.

Just watched a clip on the morning show Richard Pitman talking us through it...It brought a tear to my eye,definitely the most exciting Horserace i have ever seen.

With all the technology to hand now someone should make a 10 min video of Crisp winning the race , would be great to see even if fake.
