Some very strange results and viewing today on the Flat & NH (for those that may have missed some of today)
a) A race with two (virtually) Even money shots, but, yet, the 3rd horse, a complete rag, wins by possibly the biggest winning margin in Flat race history (bar match races).
b) Sedgefield drama with two horse well clear taking each other out, leaving an IR 1000 winner with a 520/1 BSP horse miles back in 2nd.
Even the early race faller smashed into 4s In Running after the last-flight carnage.
c) No stalls and terrible ground at Leicester sees a BSP 100/1+ shot romp in, with the odds-on Fav trailing in 80 lengths behind, although it was a sprint.
Aintree had drama too, but nothing like this.

Can think of two where both fixtures were snowed off after the first race was run: Leicester ( first visit and never been there since) when the opening juvenile hurdle was won by the future Grand National mugged on run in Mr Snugfit, and Haydock a few years later involving another juvenile hurdle (the once prestigious Victor Ludorum) won by the likeable Cashew King.

Sedgefield is quickly becoming one of those courses I put on my avoid list. Early this season we had the two fancied runners in a novice hurdle well clear both breaking down within seconds of each other and tailed off horse getting in the frame and yesterday's debacle. Both cost me though yesterdays was quite small fortunately.

And also the watering of aintree (5mm all round) thursday evening and it passes down for the afternoon yesterday.
