Which way? Because he kicked it a mile clear, then eased it up for the last 150 yards. He managed to annoy both the buyers and the sellers!

50 lengths hardly annoyed the buyersGrin

Is there not a maximum distance on the spreads?

Didn't they just used to say distance for anything above 30 lengths?

Going by memory sparrow in distant years it used to be 30-59 = distance and 60 or over = bad

I seem to remember that it was 'dist.' if the winner won by over 30 lengths, and 'bad' for anything beaten more than 30 lengths by the second. So you would have a horse winning by a distance, with a bad third. Which sounds right.

But Hayden may well be correct.

Two very good newcomers for AMO. I looked hard at the first one but no market moves but I piled into Maximum Impact. Winner of the Norfolk? Probably beat little but he won it like a horse just breezing 5 furlongs at home.
