@Mat22 have got in the car, driven to their shop and the price in the shop is not the same as online; one time it was the same they wouldn't even take the bet and said they couldn't call it in as it was for the next day and I would have to come back. Got £5 e/w on their terminals.
Eventually turnover is going to drop and drop. The youngsters only do accas and mainly on everything apart from racing. If the bookmakers are not obliged to take a reasonable bet from all as a condition of their licence, then we should go to a tote monopoly and reduce the take-out. |

Having worked at Hills in the past ive never seen anything refused.
yes might have had to ring up if there was a bet over a thousand quid but even while i was there it was never refused. Guess things of changed or some shops are being run incompetent managers as having a fifty or a score e/w on a nag is the norm in my part of the UK. Stick to Betfair guys. |

@Mat22 a racehorse trainer that backs in Hills shops is allowed what he likes but that is because he is a big time loser, overall. He gets best price, can place after the off etc etc.
But joe public is not so lucky and it is just not right that the limits should be so small. I am not a big time winner with them neither do I have any information. |

I'd be surprised if they are paying out on 6 places in the shops.

888 up 20% on the day, after shedding 2/3rds over the whole year.
Positive news regarding Middle East apparently and a line drawn under sanctions (plus parts of government overview doesn’t look as harsh as yet) While Paddy has just been steady growth during the whole thing. Both suggest to me the UK market is absolutely done in their eyes and all the doomsayers have had their pants pulled down as only 1 thing matters now-USA Thank the bleeding hearts. |

I got backed several times in the late 80's by William Hill. Tried to have £500 on Morley Street at Newbury and again at Ascot and got offered £100 at the Hill early prices and £400 at SP both times. After Carrick Hill Lad won impressively at Haydock, Hills were a standout price for the Gold Cup according to CH4. Got into my car and drove to the shop within 20 mins and they wouldn't offer price quoted on the TV. It was shortly after that I switched to online as got fed up with it. |
