Protesters of any sort get priority in the BBC and SKY news. BBC are basically anti racing since they lost all TV rights. Now they have to big up boxing and snooker instead.

"Very likely that a horse will die if the race goes ahead." Why do they not use an interviewer who can challenge this sort of statement by the protester? The woman speaking was Orla Coghlan, an Animal Rebellion campaigner. This is an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion, and they want an end to animal agriculture.

I can see a load of bevied up scouse birds in all their finery taking their covered in mud stilettos off and wading into them, could be quite a spectacle!

A question for our Irish forumites : does Irish racing get the same sort of criticism from these people ? I ask this because Orla Coghlan is obviously Irish. She describes herself as a full-time activist - presumably living off donations.

And another thing……She proclaims to love horses, but fails to acknowledge that if they weren’t racing, these animals would not exist. And couldn’t answer the question about a horse’s fate if there was no racing.

Don't blame the protesters.
Blame the police and the legal system for not dealing with them properly.
If the protesters thought that one or two heads might get cracked by the police, they wouldn't be so keen to disrupt these events.
Let the BBC interview one or two from a hospital bed.

Some plonker on GB news suggested that it would be better if we could watch thoroughbreds running free like Dartmoor ponies than watching them on the racetrack where they may get hurt. Apart from the fact that thoroughbreds wouldn't last the first winter these muppets also want to reintroduce wolves to the UK. That should be fun for all the vegans to watch wolves eating foals.

These protester spokespeople are all lefties.
You can't have a sensible discussion with a leftie. They only understand force.
