I took a chance on Timour at 33/1 eachway.

Has a lovely draw 3, gets in with a featherweight 7-12, coming into this off the back of 4 prep ones with the last being a gutsy win in the Manion Cup over 12f at the track.

Distance shouldn’t be a problem because he stayed on very well over much further in the Queen Alexandra when last seen over here for Andre Fabre.

Heavy ground is a query but he handled it well enough when third beaten 2 lengths in a Listed Race in France and I saw a stat that Gleneagles as a sire has a 22% win rate on heavy going..actually top of the pile since 2018. Weird huh…horse missed so many races because Aidan was scared of one drop of rain.

Also his half brother Young Rascal finished 7th in this, beaten 6 lengths of 8-11 and probably would’ve won if he had 7-12 that day.

Anyways 33-1 seems fair to me.

Together with Baron, played a little on Fireburn in the Oaks and Anamoe in the QE, couldn't find anything in the Turf race, looks far too difficult to call
