Let's be honest, he is a capable jock but not a great one , but gets to sit on all these great horses year after year. There are at least six or seven better jocks riding in UK, de sousa, doyle, hart, curtis, tudhope, hollie, kingscote etc. Moore gets all the cream, not sure why.

Don't agree with that list at all, and I have criticised him as much as anyone.
They are all lucky to be around at a time of general mediocrity, and unfortunately, it's now the same situation under both codes. |

Being "the best" to fill any position is obviously not a necessity. Remember R Hills? For a long time I had myself convinced that Hamdan must've lost a bet that meant he was stuck with him until retirement.
