Everything this government touches turns sour.
They couldn't run a corner shop. |

It's hardly surprising.
Even if I was convinced that EVs aren't massively overpriced in the first place like millions of others in flats and terraced houses I have nowhere to charge it Actually though I have recently bought a brand new car and it IS green. A really nice colour imo. |

The cat's out the bag. Too much downside about them.
Even if they weren’t expensive they're not practical. |

I haven't bought an electric car yet but appears to me they are only useful as run arounds and until they are priced sensibly and/or have at least 1000 mile range, then why bother.
Additionally until we have a guaranteed supply of reasonably priced electricity, it appears that there is very little saving in cost of running versus petrol. I would like to know why Natural Gas in the USA is at an ALL TIME low whilst we are still being shafted on our gas bills by our suppliers at an ALL TIME high and why the daily charge for using FACK ALL has increased again. IMO we are being SHAFTED and SHAFTED again by cartel operated energy companies with a complicit Government and it won't make any difference who is in power, they are all FKIN USELESS W@NKERS lining their own pockets. RANT OVER! |

No interest in electric car unless there is a big financial benefit. As a comment on fuel prices, we have just come back from a holiday in Spain and Portugal where petrol is around the same price as in UK but Diesel is only 5 cents above petrol! How do you explain that other that profiteering here.

I watch the poncy car ads on tv and wonder who they are advertising to. There are only so many wokies around with 40-60k going spare.

I'm told that most cars are leased these days so a bit like HP I suppose. If they can afford the monthly payment they are happy.

Electric cars and buses, trucks and anything that moves ffs what a waste of time…
Driverless buses…..wow ! Anyone fancy a ride……in yer fkn dreams…..long narrow bridge with a hundred foot drop….aye…I’m fine….ffs |

EV's as a 'green' option are a con. Battery production and eventually disposal is far worse for the planet.
By:
Try telling them…..
By:
They will plummet even further.
What is going to happen in 6 or 7 years time - When the Battery-Pack is F*cked ... - and a Replacement Battery-Pack will cost much MORE (they are currently talking in £ Thousands) than the Electric car is now worth .... Which will be 'Eff All - with a DUD Battery-Pack. They won't be able to give them away. ----------- And then .... There are these completely inefficient, and ugly, Heast Pumps .... That will be ROTTING away on everybody's outside walls ....Well - That won't be happening in their 'dreamed of' hurry - either. |

By:
the green, global warming movement is to raise the tax we pay to cure something that hasent happened imo lol

I'm not a climate change denier and I think we ought to try and do something about it,but the whole EV thing hasn't been thought through and the idea that will be all you can buy in 2030 is ludicrous. Johnsonian piffle.

By:
I never knew the cost of a new battery could be so high. That could effectively write off a pristine car.
We are seeing more and more of them on the roads but I don’t think I will be in a rush to buy one. |

Remember when you go abroad and leave it at the ‘secure’ park….
Battery stone ginger on return…. |

Stop oil mob….
They stop the oil and gas production….then what ? ….I expect to wait until the end of time for an answer.. Because you can’t answer…. Approximately well over 2000 years worth of fossil underground…..planet earth might be history by then….. |
By:
Well maybe 200…..one 0 too many
By:
A replacement battery for an electric car at the moment is £17k
By:
Lithium & Cobalt dirty dirty……
Nuclear for household and industrial uses Keep the fossil for transportation and heating fuel |

They would like us all to live in cold homes and go nowhere, what could possibly go wrong.
By:
Yep without a dime to spend…..mind you the unwashed would love it…..

The Gov have found out in recent times that people will put up with owt if they're told, but they will push too far one day. Soon hopefully.

By:
They won’t saddo….uk public are sheep……make a lot of noise but debt and family to feed they don’t want to be involved….
By:
The only way in which they behave like sheep is when they all head for a motorway or to Dover on the same day every year and wonder why there are delays. There is still a lot to admire about the British-not least the 82000 who turned up at Wembley last night to support the team. No way would I want to be in a crowd of that size but well done to those who did.
By:
They will always turn up for sports……remember what the French said when the UK threatened brexit……you won’t get it easy….
Big delays and countless dingy rides…..hoods up head down, cig and mobile in hand welcome to the promised land… Where do you want to go ? Eh….London! The UK public moan but not a lot else….. |
By:
A phoney war would get rid of all illegals, but not a civil war, the whole of parliament would be on the enemys side
By:
So why do those who dislike the UK stay here?
By:
Why would you want to leave the promised land ?
