Do forgive me for asking, but I noticed on the Johnny Lights interview thread that you had told a story about the West Country circuit. I recall a wonderful thread on here many years ago in which there were some wonderful tales and memories of that. I cannot find it but would love to re-read it. You may have contributed. Can you help bringing it back to the top? Do forgive me and please don't go to any trouble. Good luck.

I would ask for long odds it would be the storey when John was nabbed by the old bill when he was speeding to Newton Abbot in his bmw to back a short one.
Will always remember John when i first started going racing over 45 years ago standing on the old wooden boxes shouting i will take take 5/1 with one to jump.

it was a long, long thread but seaside rings a bell. God knows how you search for it though! I recall being enthralled by the tales, which were many and varied (and may have included yours RR!). But my memory fades quickly these days. I shall have a crack at searching if I can
