I’d not heard of it either. I’ve just stuck it on. Got good reviews.
I know he was very highly rated as an actor but I never really watched the films he was in. |

I think it’s Canadas version on the Nick Leeson story!

It's a really good film - recommend it.
I actually read the book that it's based on before I watched the film - the book is a more detailed account, and also compelling to read. Bit like other cases, a spiral that starts off some with some smaller 'mistakes' and just gets bigger. I'm sure we can all relate, from those bad days and periods of our gambling lives...! |

The book is called 'Stung' by Gary Ross
It's basically a true account. |

I switched it off after an hour. I wasn’t fully concentrating on it and probably missed quite a bit. It strikes me as a film you don’t really need to watch once you’ve read a couple of reviews!

I enjoyed it Trident, see where your coming from kenbo . i think being a punter helped the enjoyment of the film you can relate to bad beat situations no matter cards/horses whatever.
Once i know a film is based on true story i'm obsessed with watching till the end and reading the wiki pages . Just read the wiki page, similar story in the news today regarding bookies/casinos and problem gamblers. |
