I’d imagine Power of Attorney is about the only thing you could do. If she’s savvy enough to get a taxi into a city to spend some money then she’s probably savvy enough to tell you to ‘feck off and mind your own business’ too!

The Louis Theroux episode when he went to Vegas to follow a few of the gamblers there saw him encounter an old biddy who regularly did her brains playing the slots, he spoke to her son and asked him what he thought about her blowing his inheritance, unlike the OP, he just shrugged his shoulders at it.

Mate of mine has an arcade 99% kiddies 2p machines, has 4 £500 jackpot machines, pre covid same two old dears would come in every Friday do about a grand each, they came in for company their kids visited one in a blue moon, they used to laugh their heads off when asked about the kids, basically feck them if they cant be bothered with visiting us was their attitude. Remember that episode duffy, especially the guy they used to fly in on a private jet, wouldn't speak to louis for couple of days looked like he hadn't slept must of done the brains .
