Didn't start to ride the horse until race was nearly over, didn't think she gave it every chance of winning that.

Never believed the hype about her - just that IMO, hype of the usual type - oh look it's a jockey, and it's female, and it won some races on the best horse. etc etc.

So she isn't a jockey, a female and hasn't won those races as it's all hype?

Mind boggling Sad

Has done it all the hard way, a top class professional

I've been one of her cheerleaders on here ever since she was a 7lb claimer but the ride on that horse was distinctly poor at best.

They aren't robots, everyone one of them will have dozens of rides a season that they probably wished they could have over again. That doesn't make them any less than a model professional. To suggest she is all "hype" is imo one of the most ridiculous statements I think I have ever heard.

Indeed, for me anyway she's probably one of the top 3 jockeys riding now if not top, but still hard to make excuses for that ride imo.
Can only imagine they were worried horse may not stay 3m on that soft ground and trying to give it an easy a race as possible after a lay off, but horse was always travelling easily and i felt she could have asked for an effort long before last flight.

Quite why the stewards never asked a question beggars belief!

She's just like several other jockeys, a hype job IMO. I'd say same for jocks like the '...ridden by champion jockey..' in every commentary Hughes (vomit).

The fact she's a woman was obviously key to that, just like Hollie Doyle. Is she the greatest jockey and perfect - of course not, but they all shout and scream whenever she wins (on the best horse). And go quiet when she rides rubbish (as she does just as often as the others).

Not for me, to join that rubbish fangirling, but seems plenty want to. You're welcome to that rubbish.

I expect you have had to wait quite some time to get all that out of your system but finally you found the day, stu.

I've said pretty much same before on here sparrow - I'm never a fan of jockey fanship, it's all rubbish IMO. Horses a different matter.
