The smartly bred son of Wootton Basset Bucanero Fuerte has clearly put himself firmly in the picture for the Newmarket Classic. You would have to be impressed with how strongly he hit the line and it's quite some months since I have seen a 2yo post such an impressive display. Be interesting to see what odds are quoted for the Guineas.

bb, you are aware this is a 2yr old, and we had the same hype with the same owners Persian Force last year, and he was packed off to stud  at 2yrs.

Sorry to clarify, the 2024 Guineas.

This could have been good!  But "it's been quite some months since......" gives it away.   Failed wind up, nothing to see here.

Before you guys scoff...Dawn Approach won the same race, before being champion 2yo,
rattling up a collection of Group Ones...including the Guineas a decade ago!

Furthermore, another Bolger Guineas winner, Poetic Flare made a winning debut this
very weekend at Naas about 4 years ago.

PS - I ain't got an opinion yet as I haven't seen the race though I'm sure Bucanero
Fuente will be targeting the Coventry - I suspect we'll know more then.

Well he is by Wootton Bassett and a brother to a G1 sprinter so he could be classy (although he was a cheapish yearling). However only won less than a few lengths on heavy going so couldn't rate that too highly.
