You've got to wonder if the jockey on Pontresina was just trying to get yours beat. Forcing the one in front to go faster than he wanted and then inevitably slowing to a walk. This is something we often see John Egan do riding a rag on the AW.

So tracked leaders. Not go as fast as it can for as long as it can.
