What would the meeting be without the irish coming over in droves. For the first time in months we have had proper sized competitive fields and the sheer energy they bring to the meeting is amazing.
There certainly is a much greater love of the NH sport in Ireland than over here and its is very much grass roots.
I make it 19/28 wins and a cake walk for the Prestbury Cup

Yes Celtic it was a great weeks racing with very good field sizes,I’m not a fan of the turners but the rest of it was brilliant,very pleased to see Paul Nichols have a couple of winners in the novice races and bravemansgame run so well.
Every sane person knows the problems with uk national hunt racing other than the bha and the online/high street bookmakers

Yes Celtic totally agree , they virtually shared the 9 handicaps so no shouting about being thrown in at the weights and if you count the placings the swing is more insane than the winning margin.
Didn't have a single bet at the meeting but the viewing was fantastic.
You can only applaud Ireland for their overall contribution & performance.

I concur with most of the comments here, a fantastic festival, i loved every minute and i wouldn't have minded if Ireland had won 27 out of 28 races as long as Nicky won the other.

Celtic I think they only had 18 of the 28 - "Paddy" Neville's one of ours now
But I do agree with your comments - lovely to have decent field sizes which, without the Irish, would've been as pitiful as they are most days of the week
The vast majority of people don't care who trains them, who owns them, or where they are stabled. Is it any better for other Irish trainers that the three stables who dominate the graded races are currently based in Ireland?
Obviously some people tend to have their individual favourite trainers, but that's a slightly different thing.
