Still very much in shock following this beauty today:

Cheltenham 2:10

0.5 point each way Faivoir 66/1 Paddy Power & Betfair SB, both 6 places.

Dan Skelton has a great record in this race and runs two. Pembroke is all the rage but lacks experience and I am siding with his big priced second string Faivoir. Bridget Andrews rides and rode Moyaayed to win back in 2018. Faivoir likes soft ground and is well handicapped again off a mark of 134 carrying a low weight of 10-7. Last year on quick ground he finished 11th behind Stateman beaten 13 lengths when rated 143. At Kelso last season he was third behind Cormier on soft ground rated 143 so does have ability to strike here. This horse caught my eye running at Kempton over Christmas when fourth behind No Ordinary Joe and not given a tough time on his first run of the season. He was pulled up in the Betfair hurdle at Newbury last month when the ground was good to firm.

Tipsters? If only they are playing with their own money, and not feeding from the bookies troughs. I think they ought to take a leaf out of the currency traders in the City of London ie playing with your own money.

The extent to which these people lack even the slightest intelligence or mathematical acumen, and the fact that they are happy to demonstrate that so publicly, is staggering.
This sad OAP sees that we had a 66-1 winner today, even quotes the 12-1, 25-1 and 8-1 winners that he knows of earlier in the week and yet deduces that we are anything other than in clover at the end of the week.
It is unbelievable but that is why almost all punters lose.

Good Lord! The Glasgowfool cannot do elementary mathematics but he has the superpower of knowing what my bets are simply because I expose his ineptitudes.

What a plank.
