Horse ran very well considering he never looked comfortable at any stage

Great training performance by the winner

He's turning into a professional loser. As such, a definite lay - new trip or now; 1st 3 fences key to his commitment today.

Everyone on ITV absolutely bigging him up. Would be wary of this.
He is not back to the horse of old, surely |

I'll hold fire till after 3 fences.

Nice staying performance, but wonder what may have been if Ahoy Senor had not clouted double-figures in fences
|
|
By:
Great ride, he had to humour him the whole way round, in and out, long and short, great ride.

what price in-running

Gold Cup horse next year.

Crying out for 4miles

Cross country route next year.

didn't seem to be enjoying it at all but still won fairly easily. Very strange horse to assess. Ahoy Senor ran a blinder apart from a few dodgy jumps but no answer to the winner.

By:
is he a tad claustrophobic ?

A few fingers burnt in running....traded up to 30.00

I just think that he no longer enjoys racing and just does it under protest. Unlimited ability though.

Could have gone round again , Pulling a cart
|
|

Ahoy Senor can't jump, goes off very quick and jockey puts the brakes on ages before the last.
Suddenly, everyone says Shishkin needs every bit of 3m despite his best performance still probably being over 2m. They are just looking for excuses for this horse all the time. Travels like a dog all the way round and gets given the race. Not impressed. Looked like an awful race to me. |
|
By:
He won't ever be running over 2 miles again now that he has proven he stays at least 3 miles. Will almost certainly be aimed at the Gold Cup next year.
|
|
By:
The winner is 5/1 for the King George. I think he'd be run off his feet. The track might not suit either. Grand National for me.
|
|
By:
He is deffo worth trying with some sort of headgear

When’s that race in France…the grand steeplechase thingy?
Could be right up his street. |
