We all know he is better on good ground, but surely if the going is as given (with the possibility of it drying out further) he should running in what is a very average renewal? He could run well below his best and finish third. He has wins on soft ground.
Looks an even worse decision now with the front two disappointing. Banbridge is a very good jumper and should have been able to put pressure on the leader. Opportunity tossed away.

The ground was probably better today, and he still finished third in the Drinmore. As per the opening comment before the race I think he would have been at least placed today.
