An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend turning into the home straight involving CAPTAIN GUINNESS (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rachael Blackmore; EDITEUR DU GITE (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Niall Houlihan and the winner, ENERGUMENE (FR), ridden by P. Townend. Townend was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear taking Blackmore slightly off her intended line, causing Houlihan to be shortened for room on the rail, to take a check and stumble.
