They should be laying something on all "cat 1" events imo.
I dont think it should be 250 EW but somewhere around a sporting 50EW, its absolutely pathetic. Decide yourself what should be cat1 but certainly every Chelt race etc. |

apparently there are no limits or restrictions for OAPS providing they place their bets in the prescence of both grandparents.

It’s the take out not the stake that determines the restriction.

Ok well they should be laying to a bottle/carpet liability on these bigger events

Infact they are national corp books, dont think it would be much to risk a monkey a person.

Thought I would have the Evens to a tenner Hills were offering for Constitution Hill. Said I could have £4.50.
Absolutely pathetic. They can stick it up their a**e. |

Ive been betting almost 70 years and I didnt think I would ever be told by a bookmaker you cant have a tenner. William Hill must be turning in his grave.
They splash their evens Constitution Hill all over their website and then tell me I cant have it. What a bunch of ar**oles. |

They let me have it .....and they are the only firm I know I am winning against............

They give me the 'boost' on all my bets and ive not had any big wins lately so I just cant understand it.
When I was 12 the bookmakers runner on the street corner always took my sixpence each way. How times change. |

Frankly their stupid prices for a £10 are just a distraction and really just to get some more muggs to sign up, then they lose their £10 and then they deposit and deposit and deposit etc etc. Basically they are encouraging gambling from people who may not want to gamble.
What is wrong is that the handicap races at the big meetings, like the Optima tomorrow, are great gambling races that punters should not have to sweat to get £100 e/w with a few books. The worst thing is that there is no-one to raise it with because no-one gives a **** about gamblers. But once the revenue dries up they will be surprised that they did nothing to support "fun" gamblers like me who are getting further demoralised and disheartened at being able to place a reasonable bet. Frankly £100 these days is not a lot of money. |

I wish I had the money to be a bookmaker. I dont think I would turn down tenners. I bet mostly to keep my old brain active. How a bookmaker can refuse to lay a horse to lose a tenner is pathetic.
They are just destroying their business. The next 4 days we will hear from all their reps how many thousands they have layed at Cheltenham. Laying thousands to people who probably have a bit more inside information than we will ever have. Lying b*******s. |

... Well said Clacton, 100% agree.

lay you anything the want. after they've received the green light from the trader who's checked to see if he can get rid of it on here for a guaranteed green up. try greening them up, you won't last 5 minutes.
they don't like it up 'em. |

Check out the place terms in the shops too. 5 places in the Ultima at 1/5th the odds.
They suggest this is an enhanced position, when it'd be 1/4 for 4 normally, doesn't seem better to me. Also the online place terms are much better, yet the prices, whether first 5 in shops, or first 6/7 online are exactly the same. The win book must be 150%+ easy. No wonder the shops are empty. |
