What didn’t help was that riding horses lends itself to every sex pun available. Worse still, everyone is equipped with a whip, which meant boys spent a lot of their time chasing and smacking girls. This is what I would have faced every day of my working life had I pursued a career in the sport. Every day, for the rest of their lives, if they’d chosen this as their lot......WALOFB Having worked in Racing for 30 Years not once did i ever see a girl being chased 0r smacked with a whip.

In a newspaper which is very short on racing articles ( other than the occasional piece by Brough Scott or David Walsh ), they come up with this rubbish in the weekend before Cheltenham. Who were these top trainers and famous jockeys ? What she describes may be offensive - nut is it really bullying ? Did she never make comments at the expense of the male stable lads ? As an online subscriber to The Times, I am annoyed that no comments on the article are allowed.

I read about it in D1ck Francis novels acey!!! Fact is the industry employs more women per capita than most and as with males most are in their youth. The old adage of "can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" rings loud, mostly failed individuals who moan, male and female.
!978 my boss was Captain White,a female,1988 OIC Provost,Leuchars,Joe R.P,not easy professions 10 years apart and never once heard them complain being held back because of sexism, maybe they did on the QT but I doubt it,they were not so weak and had not failed? |

Cast your mind back to Fellon and Julie Cecil, the rumours etc. Always such rife in racing circles but discretion has always been key, even among those that knew first hand.
This "female" part of the social media culture without a doubt? |

The power is in the hands of the trainers. Of course it is and it always has been and always will be.
Is this woman nuts? What is the point of her last sentence? Is she blaming the trainers for all her alleged complaints. First the female jockey is not a superstar. She is anything but. And Robbie Dunne did not parade in front of her naked, he did though walk around in his male changing room naked and was perfectly entitled to do so. It being a male changing room. As for her bitter and quite appalling denouncing of Rachel and Hollie you really have to wonder at the lengths bitter women will go to, to be bitter. |
