Richard Simon Sharp (born 8 February 1956) is an English former banker who has been the chairman of the BBC since February 2021. Sharp worked at JP Morgan for eight years, and then for 23 years at Goldman Sachs. He was an advisor to Boris Johnson during his tenure as London Mayor, and to Rishi Sunak as Chancellor.

has anyone read the tweets of emily maitlis? no tory could get away with this partisan posturing

in 2000 martha kearney(who i quite like) became commissioning editor. she was asked if she had a liberal bias. she said she did but parked it at the door when she went to work

which is fine

except when andrew neil was proposed for the job he was deemed incapable of doing the same(and he was so made for it. he would have shredded all of em)
