There has seldom been a finer sound on a racecourse than that of Thommo informing us of the progress of “the Mystic Meg horse” in running, usually at Yarmouth.
Better still were his explanations for her absences from the track when her horses were competing. "Not in attendance today due to unforeseen circumstances”. RIP and congrats to her on making a lucrative career based on total nonsense. I’d be happy to take over on just 75% of her pay. |
