Anyone else experiencing this? I don't subscribe but this is the first time it has happened and is on the right side of the page.

Thanks dave, I did also try other ad blockers and different browsers but it made no difference.

AdBlock obviously become sloppy&complacent after being #1 dominant force for years(and receiving fortunes from patrons) When going to streaming sites I had to bat away multi ads/popups to the point were stepped beyond the line of minor annoyance
 I GOT RID of adblock and searched for better alternative - which I found in 'AdGuard'(extension available for all browsers) after installing it I no longer have to deal with the nonsense. I can now play streams with 1 click. I'm not familiar with RP site as eye don't use it, but eye went to the site just now and wasn't seeing any ads.. |

I'm using Adguard sniper and have tried others but to no avail. This has only just happened on the RP site and I've not known it occur before.

with adblock plus on chrome you can open it up and select "block specific element on this site" and you will be able to block the ads manually. It took me a while as I did it in bits, but you might be able to block the lot in one go. The text moves into the space if you successfully block everything.

I did something similar on Edge but gave up after a while with it being a little too complicated for me.

I didn't believe you were counting that "todays offers" rubbish. Eye see that as well, and that's because it's directly tied in with the site. The books are paying them to promote their rubbish, so it's slightly naive to believe you won't have such a site [b]pushing/forcing[/b] some stuff directly on you.

By any chance, does anyone know of a good Ad Blocker for Twitch ?
they have some seriously strong Anti Ad blocker software, their ads are the worst, they spam you for 5,6,7 ads in a row and in foreign language - not even using a vpn, tried different one's not have worked, standard ad blocker works easily with youtube but twitch seems unbreakable. |

The ad I meant was exactly that "Bookie Offers" and the bookmaker ones below that such as
Bet £10 get £30 in free bets Get £20 in free bets when you bet £5 £20 in free bets when you place a £5 bet Get £20 in free bets when you bet £5 Bet £10 & Get £30 in free bets for new customers at bet365 Get up to £50 in sports free bets £30 in free bets All the above from various different bookmakers. |

Use Ublock Orgion for Firefox and Chrome. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ Use the picker option if the ads still show.

I use adblock plus. It is definitely working fine for most web sites (including you tube videos). On the Racing Post site adblock plus is blocking some adverts, for instance on the news page right hand side I just see a line with the word advertisement underneath. On some other pages the "Today's Offers" are now not blocked and I wonder if that is because the Racing Post has smuggled them in such a way they are not flagging as adverts any more i.e. maybe not from external sites?
My main reason for an adblocker was when a few years ago external adds were slowing down web page loading for which the RP pages were the worst. The "Today's Offers" banners do not seem to affect speed at all. |
