The beast from the east was right at the back end of February wasn't it?  Think March is supposed to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb....

Beast from the East was late Feb/early March.

I was staying overnight in Central London and have never seen so much snow in the West End as I saw on the morning of Thursday 1st March.

And I have been at Cheltenham for the Fesival (so mid-March) with snow visible of the ground surrounding the course.

cheers mate me and hal will deffo check that one out - Foregate was station we used last year to get to Chelters by train (about 5 min taxi ride from our digs) - this year we took the decision to be royally ripped off paying the car park charges at Chelters cos Cheltenham Spa cudnt handle the crowds on the Wed night - especially wiv a broken down train in the mix- not the biggest of stations and when the platforms are full up of p1ssed up idiots from all parts of the country its quite a dangerous/scary spot to be ScaredScaredShockedShocked

Cheers again jimnast

I’m afraid Cheltenham can’t handle anything regarding people getting back after racing the car will also be a nightmare, they really need to send a team to royal ascot for the week to see how it can be done.

Have a great trip Smirnoff back some winners and stay safe

The Thinker's Gold Cup win pushed legislation to the limit that year , bookmakers had to shut 6.30pm by law as i remember and the delay stretched that as i think they just got the last race run in time , probably won by Half Free in Cathcart as a guess but honestly can't remember.
