Actually he had three. Feronily ran very well on hurdling debut. The Shunter had been off four months, and having got behind didn't end up finishing that far behind two decent horses. Mctigue was another to return after a break, but his previous two runs were poor so he probably isn't that good. Bookmakers always price the horses with more than a dgree of caution.
Nothing wrong with Corbett's Cross the other day, and I suspect they got a very nice bundle off JP as a result.

well harry , i think a few points shorter . we have a tight fav still unproven at the trip ( hello florida pearl ) , a nicholls horse that is campaigned on flatish tracks , a previous winner only pulled up all season ...

I see what you mean windsor in regards the others.
I think it’s an open race. Just wondered how much shorter you made him, he did give weight in his trail so has his chance. Tricky betting heat this I’m still on the fence a bit tbh although I do like the nicholls horse a tad at the odds, I’d have him nearer 4/1. Open race mind you

I backed Noble **** as well, but subsequently he looked slow in the Cotswold Chase. On quicker ground that might be an even bigger problem. Then you have Bowen who isn't exactly full of Grade 1 winners. Perhaps that is where the doubts are coming from. I do think it is a more open race than the betting suggests. I haven't been impressed with Galopin Des Champs jumping this season. That might be an issue in a bigger field. It seems they have reined back his exuberance in order to stretch out his stamina.

I wonder whether he is waiting to get the p plates back on noble **** that might help him travel. It is an open race this year. The question is will fox take ahoy senor to the front or will he drop him out. Will be interesting if him and conflated go out and make it a gallop. Stamina really will come to fore then
