Not sure you have the right forum, but perhaps if she had actually run between the wickets rather than strolled? Bat getting stuck appears to be a bit of a red herring.

Not entirely sure I agree with that; I mean those clothes aren't going to iron themselves, the dishes won't get done on their own. Plenty she could have been getting on with. |
